Scott Butters MSc CMIOSH FRSPH Dip2.OSH
Scott has been with Cope Safety Management Limited since 1999. Scott is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health, and specialises in occupational health and safety as well as food safety.
Scott has a young family keeping him extremely busy when he is not at work. He met his wife whilst they were both serving in the RAF. Not surprising then that one of Scott’s passions is aviation. He can be found at airshows throughout the summer; who knows maybe even flying himself. Scott is an enthusiastic and driven individual with a thirst for knowledge and a desire to meet and, if wherever possible, exceed our customers needs and expectations. Cats! not sure the dog would approve.
Leila Quirk GradIOSH
Leila joined the company in February 2014 as a Health and Safety Adviser, and became a Director in June 2014. Leila has a background in Health and Safety and food enforcement in Local Authorities, and has worked as a Health and Safety Adviser for two of the largest Healthcare providers in the UK.
In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and playing a round or two of golf – weather permitting and so has no time for cats.
Emma joined the company in 2011 as an administrator, and became a Director in 2014. Emma works in our accounts department and keeps an eye on the crazy office staff.
Emma has a cat called Ronnie who loves having baths! She also watches Motorsports and rides on motorbikes but only if she is forced!
Tony May DipNEBOSH AIEMA
Tony works as a Health and Safety Adviser and is seen regularly on his hands and knees giving our resuscitation dolls the kiss of life (we hope that is all it is).
In his spare time you can see Tony rummaging around the garden trying to become a keen gardener but spending most of his time chasing the cats away…
Richard Andison BSc(Hons) LFOH
Richard spent 24 years as an Environmental Health Technician and has travelled far and wide, and whilst he has experienced most things in the Occupational Health and Safety field, he can still be surprised. He is a member of the British Occupational Hygiene Society, has an Environmental Health degree and has experienced the life of an enforcement officer while on secondment to a local authority.
Richard has 2 teenage daughters, the apple of his eye, and Lorraine, his hard pressed wife. He enjoys a round of golf, no matter the weather. Cats? He certainly has a fondness for Black Cats as a Sunderland AFC fan.
Sam is a member of the health and safety advisors team. When not hard at work he will most likely be found in the kitchen cooking up a spicy dish or if the sun is shining out on a cricket pitch.
Sam currently has one cat but is being gently purr..suaded at home to add more!
Mat joined the health and safety advisors team in May 2015. Outside of work he can often be found spoiling a good walk by attempting to play golf. He is also a lifelong San Francisco 49ers fan.
Mat has two cats, Loki who lives up to her name by causing mischief and Fergal who adopted him in early 2015.
Dave Bell CMIOSH
Dave has spent 20 years in the Senior Service followed by 20 years in the construction industry and holds CMIOSH.
Sorry no cats but one dog (and a wife!). Enjoys his sojourns to Crete and his caravan combined with fishing when at home.
Tim has been working in the construction industry for 15 years and has extensive knowledge within this field.
When not knee deep in mud on site, he can be found in the gym building up his stamina in order to tow the family caravan to more pleasant surroundings (he does actually use a car for towing). Although a Lincolnshire man he supports the Arsenal and enjoys watching a good game of football. Although he likes cats he has a dog who keeps them at bay.
Cathy Tarry Assoc CIPD
Cathy is an Employment Adviser for Cope providing HR assistance to our clients. Cathy joined the company in November 2016 as an Employment Advisor. Cathy has worked in HR for 15 years and has experience in Recruitment, Training and HR Advice.
Cathy has a young family which keeps her busy out of work. Cathy has a passion for trying new things such as sky diving, white water rafting and riding in hot air balloons, definitely not for cats!
Becky joined the office team early 2015
In her spare time you will spot Becky… Eating…. with a huge appetite and a passion for food!
Becky has a very mischievous cat called Lucretia, who loves nothing more than swinging on doors!
Janet joined the company in October 2014 as an administrator.
Out of work you will find her with her nose in a murder / detective novel or out in the garden using the knowledge gained from them to uncover dead foliage.
Janet is not a lover of cats but admires their intuitive abilities, as they can be seen breaking into a run when passing her house which she finds quite amewsing.
Andy Sly DipNEBOSH
Andy is a member of the health and safety advisors team. When not at work he enjoys being cold whilst partaking in camping holidays, and can often be seen chasing his sheep around a field.
