Control of Substances Hazardous to Health - If you have substances hazardous to health at work then you must prepare COSHH assessments. Our easy to follow COSHH assessments include product particulars and emergency actions to be taken.
Accident Investigation and Reporting - If you, or one of your employees, has an accident at work, you may be required by law to report this to the Enforcing Authority. We can carry out this work on your behalf, in a prompt an efficient manner, producing a detailed accident report suitable for insurance purposes.
Management of Asbestos - If you own or are responsible for maintenance or repairs of commercial premises you must identify all materials containing asbestos and prepare a management plan to reduce the risk from aasbestos. Cope can undertake type 1, 2 and 3 asbestos surveys.
Health and Safety Audits - Are your health and safety policies and risk assessments up to date? Are the written safety procedures actually followed on site? Our on site audit service will provide you with a frank and accurate report detailing the current status of your heatlh and safety system. We will provide you with a prioritised list of actions you need to take to ensure current legislation is being complied with.
Fire Risk Assessments - A fire in your premises can be devastating, not only to your business but to your workforce as well. Our trained advisors will inspect your premises and provide easy to follow risk assessments that give practical guidance to ensure systems are in place to detect fires, provide emergency fire fighting equipment and most importantly make sure the occupants can escape.
Local Exhaust Ventilation Examination and Testing - Where local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems are provided for the extraction of dust or fumes etc. the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations require employers to ensure that such equipment is thoroughly examined and tested at least every 14 months. Cope undertake the examination and testing of captor hoods, flow rates in ducting, filter checks etc ... thus satisfying this requirement.
Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor - If you transport dangerous goods then you have a legal duty to employ the services of a dangerous goods safety advisor. By using Cope, a nominated advisor is available to your business.
Environmental Monitoring - In order to protect the environment and the health of your employees you have a duty to undertake monitoring of dust and noise levels, use of solvents, etc. Cope undertake a wide range of enviromental monitoring.
Disability Discrimination - If you provide goods and services direct to the public you are required to make reasonable adjustments to ensure you comply with the Disability Discrimination Act. Our trained access auditors will visit your premises and provide practical advice.
Electrical Safety - If you are in charge of premises there is a duty to undertake fixed electrical installation inspection and testing. We can provide this service in addition to portable appliance testing and electrical safety training.
Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations - If a dangerous substance is present in your workplace, or may be present (i.e. likelihood of dust escaping from a process), you must ensure that a risk assessment is carried out (regardless of quantity), eliminate or reduce the risks, provide equipment and procedures to deal with accidents and emergencies, and provide instruction and training to your employees, as well as classify places where explosive atmospheres may occur into zones. Cope are able to carry out this work on your behalf.
Noise Assessments - The Control of Noise at Work Regulations require employers to take all reasonably practicable steps to reduce the level of noise in the workplace. Additional duties include health surveillance of employees exposed to noise with the requirement that hearing tests are carried out. Accurate measurement of noise levels and hearing tests requires the use of specialist equipment operated by trained personnel. Cope can provide these services inhouse.
Vibration - The Control of Vibration at Work Regulations place duties on employers who carry out work that is liable to expose employees to risk from vibration to make a suitable and sufficient assessment of the risk. We can undertake vibration monitoring, offer advice and assistance to ensure your assessments meet the requirements of the Regulations. In addition Cope can provide health surveillance services for your employees.
Site Waste Management Plans - It is a legal requirement under the Site Waste Management Plans Regulations, for any project with a build cost over £300K to have a Site Waste Management Plan. Cope can visit and discuss the amount of waste likely to be generated and explore the ways it can be reduced, reused and recycled. We can then provide you with an initial Site Waste Management Plan for implementation and development for your site allowing you to legally manage waste and ultimately reduced your costs.
Racking Inspections - The SEMA Code specifies that formal inspections of racking systems are carried out every 12 months. Cope can help in this regard, providing a detailed report highlighting areas requiring attention.
