The John Cope Lecture - Venues and Booking

The ideal venues for the presentation are a lecture theatre with auditorium type seating with delegates facing a podium. Most good hotels offer conference suites with similar seating arrangements which are good.

The room acoustics and environment need to be considered so that PA systems are not required where possible. Where they are unavoidable, a radio microphone is required to allow the speaker freedom of movement.

Conferences where delegates are spaced out over a wider area at circular tables can work well provided the delegates are close enough to see the props so numbers are more limited.
