Training courses can be open at external venues or, subject to numbers and suitability, at your own premises. In the majority of cases, all handouts, training materials, videos and media equipment will be provided. Certain courses, such as forklift truck training, will require companies to provide their own vehicles that must be in good working order and in compliance with all relevant testing. In addition to the courses listed bespoke training can be provided to suit company's individual requirements. IOSH Working Safely
Working safely is for employees at any level, in any sector, needing a grounding in the essentials of health and safety. Everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must 'work safely' - and this course offers exactly that. This is an IOSH accredited course.
IOSH Managing Safely
Managing safely is for those required to manage safely and effectively in compliance with both their organisation's policy and best practice in health and safety. This is an IOSH accredited course.
Manual Handling Operations
A short, informative course, split between theory and practical training outlining the various injuries caused by poor lifting techniques and introducing correct lifting procedures. The training will be based upon real situations in the workplace and concludes with a short test.
Manual Handling - Train the Trainer
This course will provide individuals within your organisation with the skills necessary to deliver manual handling training to your operatives. An electronic training package is provided on conclusion of the course containing Powerpoint presentation, handouts, question papers etc.
Construction Safety Awareness
A full day course relevant to all persons who work on construction sites from ground workers through to finishing trades and also site managers. The course gives an introduction to construction health and safety legislation, causes of accidents and safe working practices. Whilst there is considerable information to be delivered by the tutor, delegates also have the opportunity to discuss ideas and practical issues with others on the course. The course concludes with a short written test.
Asbestos Awareness
A half day course that can be adapted to explain the responsibilities of premises managers or trades people alike. The course outlines the hazards of asbestos, its various uses in construction and what can or can't be done with asbestos containing materials. The course is based on the requirements of the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations and specifically Regulation 4, the duty to manage the risk of exposure to asbestos.
First Aid

Appointed Person
A one day course on emergency first aid in the workplace. Explaining the need for first aid in the workplace and the responsibilities of the Appointed Person. On successful completion of the course, candidates will be able to demonstrate the essential skills and knowledge needed to deal with life threatening emergencies in the workplace that will assist in making the casualty comfortable until the emergency services arrive.

First Aid at Work
A four day intensive course, with theory and practical assessments and tests throughout. On day 4 candidates will be examined by an external assessor. At the end of the course candidates will have the knowledge and confidence to deal with a variety of workplace accidents emergencies. Candidates for both courses will receive a certificate valid for three years.
Electrical Safety
A basic introduction to electrical safety in the workplace. Training courses can be delivered to outline the Electricity at Work Regulations covering simple circuitry and explaining terminology, identification of electrical hazards in premises and simple portable appliance testing.
Fire Safety Awareness
This course is suitable for all persons responsible for fire safety within all industries and gives guidance on the new requirements placed on businesses by the Regulatory Fire Safety Reform Order.
Vehicle Operator Training Courses
These are available for the following types of vehicle: Counter balance lift truck; teleporter; reach truck; pivot steer; vehicle mounted lift truck

3 day course with continuous theory and practical testing

a one day course recommended every three years

Shunter driver training
1 day course covering large rigid or articulated vehicles with trailers up to 40 feet in length to include theory and practical testing.

Driver Awareness training
A half day course aimed at reminding drivers of applicable health and safety requirements.
Working at Height
Various courses available to ensure compliance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005.

Lifting Operations
Aimed at those involved with craneage and lifting operations, including safe handling and slinging of loads, visual inspection of lifting tackle, chains and slings, banksman and signaller duties. Elements of the course can be delivered as single training units.
Basic Health and Safety
A half or one day course introducing the basics of health and safety in the workplace. Identifying duty holders and their responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act. Introduction to the 'six pack' Regulations. Practical risk assessment and communication to persons affected.
